MARIA DIAKOVA HASSELL / DIRECTOR, EDITORBulgarian born documentary editor Maria Diakova Hassell has spent most of her career collaborating with New York City studios including VICE,CNN’s Courageous, and Passion Pictures. The VICE/Olympic Channel documentary series “Inspired by Sport”, which she edited, was the 2021 Webby Award winner for Excellence In Digital Storytelling in the "Video Series & Sports" category. Her short documentary “The Luthier of the Lower East Side”, was the July 2020 Award Nominee for Best Short Documentary & Best Female Director, the Indie Short Fest/LA International Film Festival. Recently relocated to Los Angeles, she collaborated with directors Frank Marshall and Lindsey Vonn on the feature length documentary film “Picabo”, chronicling the life of Olympic Gold Medalist Picabo Street.

Nina Kantcheva is a distinguished advocate and strategist, serving as the Senior Policy Advisor on Indigenous Peoples and Local Community Engagement at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). She leads efforts to uphold the rights of Indigenous Peoples and local communities in climate action, fostering their active participation in global policy, promoting traditional knowledge, and forging impactful partnerships with philanthropies and the private sector to channel resources to nature's proven stewards. With a history of advising organizations like Tribal Link Foundation, consumer brands, and co-founding Tushevs Aerials, a pioneering initiative empowering Indigenous communities with remote sensing technology, Nina has consistently championed innovative solutions for environmental and humanitarian goals.
